Project Overview:
Matagorda County Hospital District initially engaged GREYSTONE to perform a Market and Feasibility Study to facilitate on-campus medical office development. GREYSTONE was then engaged as Owner’s Representative for campus master planning and development services. A partnership with American Renal Associates led to the development of an on-campus Dialysis Center and Medical Office Building.

Description:
The Matagorda County Hospital District opened its new, state of the art facility, Matagorda Regional Medical Center in late 2009. This replacement hospital includes 58 private patient beds, a Women’s Center and an expanded ER and Ambulatory Care Unit. This project began the initial phase of development for the District’s new medical campus serving the surrounding coastal communities of Bay City, Texas. The District plans further expansion of its campus with the forthcoming addition of the Bay City Regional Dialysis Center, a 30,000 s.f. multi-tenant medical office building, a Wellness Center and new EMS facility.
Greystone partnered with a local nephrologist and American Renal Associates to develop the 8,500 s.f. Bay City Regional Dialysis Center. This on-campus clinic and medical office facility houses 16 stations offering patients full-service outpatient dialysis healthcare. Greystone negotiated the terms for the new clinic and provided turn-key development services. The Bay City Regional Dialysis Clinic has been in operation since late 2010.
