Description:
In April 2009, Greystone acquired the Markle Medical Center facilities located in Northern Indiana through its closing and lease negotiations with Community Health Systems (CHS), representing the Bluffton Health System as tenant. The acquisition, valued at just under $1 Million for both properties, serves as the primary physician offices for the Markle Medical Group (Markle and Warren, IN). Many of the physicians practicing at these locations had recently become employees of the nearby Bluffton Medical Center which is part of CHS’s portfolio of over 110 hospitals nationally.
During the second and third quarters of 2009, the medical office facility in Markle underwent several renovations including new roofing, HVAC units, replacement of exterior lighting, interior renovations and resurfacing of the parking lot to better compliment the surrounding areas and to improve the healthcare provided to the community.
Each facility in cooperation with Bluffton Regional Medical Center is currently staffed by family medicine, OB-GYN, and general surgery physicians. The Markle Medical Center located at 201 East South Street serves the surrounding Wells County area and the office located at 824 Huntington Avenue serves the surrounding Huntington County community, just south of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
